Dr. Dimitrios Koufopoulos

Director of the Online Global MBA Programmes, University of London

Dimitrios holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Administration from the Athens University of Business and Economics (former ASOEE) and an MBA and PhD degree from Cardiff University. He is Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Member of the Chartered Management Institute and Academic Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute.

He started his professional career as an accountant and then,  joined the Cardiff Business School as a Researcher and Lecturer specialising in strategic management. In 2002, he moved to Brunel University (www.brunel.ac.uk) where he continues teaching strategy modules until March 2018.   He has taught as visiting Lecturer in both British and American institutions and currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty at the Hellenic Open University (www.eap.gr).

He has served as member to the Corporate Affairs Committee at the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) from September 2004 to 2008 (www.managers.org.uk), an advisory committee to the Board of Trustees and had been serving in a number of committees in the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN).

He is the founder and the Managing Partner of the Gnosis Management Consultants (www.gnosisconsultants.com), specialising on issues relating to strategy development, executive education and Governance issues. He is also the Founder and Scientific Director of the Hellenic Observatory of Corporate Governance (www.hocg.eu), which since 2007 produces regular reports on issues relating to Corporate Governance in Greece.

Since April 2018, is the Director of the Online Global MBA Programmes, University of London and Visiting Professor, School of Law, Center for  Commercial and Law Studies, Queen Mary University
