Mr. Ioannis Mastoris
Sustainability Integration Manager, TITAN
Ioannis (John) Mastoris graduated in 1992 from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece), Dept. of Mining and Metallurgy. In 1994 he received a Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute and State University of Virginia (Virginia Tech, USA). Also completed his professional MBA course in 2013, with the ALBA MBA School (at Athens, Greece),
John started his professional career in the plant of Roanoke Cement in the USA and continued with TITAN Cement in Greece, as Quarry Manager for Kamari cement plant between 1995-2000. He was Group Corporate Mining Engineer (Raw Materials Technology Manager) between 2000 and 2013, working for TITAN’s Corporate Center/Group Engineering & Technology, and contributed to numerous projects for ‘green field’ plants and upgrades, serving mergers and acquisitions, development of in-house systems, guidance frameworks and technical knowledge-sharing with operations,
In 2014 he moved to Kosovo TITAN cement operations as Administration and Projects Manager, expanding his domain of work. He returned in 2017 to the Corporate Center, to assume the role which he holds until today as Sustainability Integration Manager, working for Group ESG Performance Dpt. In this role he coordinates efforts concerning Social Performance monitoring and reporting, contributes to TITAN’s Materiality Assessment and Stakeholder Engagement by engaging with countries of operations through the Group Network, leads efforts for assessing TITAN’s contribution to communities, also facilitates projects concerning Group’s Supply Chain Sustainability.
John was a member of WBCSD/CSI taskforces between 2008-2013, co-chairing the TF for Biodiversity and Water, and member of Steering Group between 2017-2018. Since 2019 he is a contributor to GCCA/WG6 and facilitates TITAN’s internal coordination.
