Ms. Myrto Kontaxi
Sustainability and ESG Advisor, Partner of the Biopharma Sustainability Roundtable
Myrto Kontaxi is a partner of the Biopharma Sustainability Roundtable (BSRT), recognized as the leading biopharma sustainability network with a dual focus on the sector and its sustainability topics. She also works as a Sustainability and ESG advisor both within and outside the biopharma sector. Previously based in Europe and currently in Boston, Myrto’s career combines consulting, corporate, and non-profit international experience.
Myrto is leading the BSRT Biopharma Investor ESG Communications Initiative, which brings together leading global biopharma and investor companies to address ESG communications, since 2018. She also leads the BSRT Human Rights Focus Group discussion launched in 2022.
Myrto held leadership positions in CSR and Communications at Imerys (previously S&B Industrial Minerals, an international mining and minerals company), from 2005-2015. She led its award-winning Annual Sustainability strategy and disclosures, stakeholder engagement, and key award-winning Corporate Responsibility programs for a decade.
In the early 2000s, Myrto created and led PwC’s sustainability practice in Greece, establishing a leading position in the then nascent market.
She also brings a multi-year involvement with member-led business organizations such as the UN Global Compact Hellas, the CSR Network Hellas, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and the Industrial Minerals Association-Europe.
Myrto earned a degree in Chemistry from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), an MSc in Environmental, Science, Policy, and Planning from the University of Bath (UK), and an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece).
