
Dr. Polydefkis Loukopoulos
Chairman and Managing Director, Signify Hellas S.A.
Dr. Polydefkis Loukopoulos is the Chairman and Managing Director of Signify Hellas S.A. (new corporate name of Philips Lighting) leading the business in Greece, Israel, Cyprus, and Malta. He joined Dutch multinational Philips in 2010 as the General Manager of the Greek Lighting sector and served as the Vice Chairman of Philips Hellas S.A. from 2013 until his current appointment in 2016. He is also the Vice Chairman of Appliances Recycling S.A. and the Vice President of Education and Learning and Board Member of the Greek chapter of CEO Clubs International.
Before joining Philips, he worked for French multinational Schneider Electric since 1998 in various commercial positions in the fields of Industrial Automation, Building Automation and Electrical Distribution. He started his professional career as an Engineer at German multinational Endress & Hauser in 1995 following a two years’ service as a Reserve Army Officer for the Greek Special Forces, Paratroopers Corps.
He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (D.B.A.) from Université Paris Dauphine-PSL (La Sorbonne), an MBA from Warwick University, U.K., and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Energy) from Aristotle University.
