Why Attend

Why Attend the CSR-School

The CSR-School will take place from Monday 13 November until Monday 11 December 2023, with two 4hr sessions every Monday.

LEARN FROM WORLD-CLASS EXPERTS

During these days, participants will learn from a wide variety of experts, with each thematic area consisting of a balance between theoretical lectures by distinguished academics and practical case study presentations by experienced senior professionals.

WORK ON REAL-CASE SCENARIOS

Participating trainees will be guided through interactive workshops to identify the Responsibility framework within which their businesses should operate and the ways in which Governance can support the restructuring of the strategy.

Small and large group discussions on real-life case studies and scenarios will lead trainees to discover that Innovation can contribute to the enhancement of Sustainable Development, while the interactive nature of the sessions will highlight the value of Partnership and collaboration.

GRADUATE WITH A PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE

Trainees who successfully pass the individual examinations for each thematic area will receive a Certificate of Successful Completion of the CSR-School, co-signed by CSR HELLAS, the University of Crete and ALBA Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece. The Certificate is equivalent to 10 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) or 6 US credit points.

Trainees that attend the programme but do not pass the examinations will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Note: It will depend on each participant’s home university whether the ECTS earned will be acknowledged towards his/her final degree.

ACCELERATE YOUR CAREER

This integrated approach will contribute to the expansion of trainees’ professional opportunities and capabilities in the field of CSR and beyond, providing state-of-the-art theoretical and practical knowledge that is transferrable to the real corporate sphere, while simultaneously being certified by both established academic institutions and a business association.

GET INVOLVED WITH A WIDER NETWORK OF PROFESSIONALS

The programme offers extensive networking opportunities, bringing together professionals from both different and similar professional backgrounds and providing the space for continuous exchange of ideas and know-how. This is the case not only during the Sessions but also on the specialized platform available to all trainees during the programme, where participants can not only access all Course Material but also discuss sustainability-related issues independently and interact through Q&A threads.

These exchange opportunities extend beyond the time-frame of the CSR-School, as the Alumni Group has reached over 100 professionals in 2022, with an active LinkedIn Group provided by the organizers being just the beginning.

IDENTIFY DYNAMIC ESG ISSUES

Stakeholder Management and the Evolution of Materiality Approach are becoming increasingly important for business development and the decision-making process. Environmental, Social and Governance issues (ESG), such as CO2 Emissions, waste management, water use, human rights, labour practices and employee safety, are relevant across different industries and should be prioritized by companies in their materiality assessment. At the same time increased pressure on companies from Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), ESG data providers, as well as the increased capacity of investors to rely on real-time ESG data providers to spot inaccurate reporting and evaluate the company’s profile, create a dynamic, constantly-evolving business environment and professionals need to go the extra mile in order to meet their sustainability targets.
